Anjar Education Society is a registered public trust founded in the year 1972,  the sole purpose being the upliftment of education and the educational standards of the town. The society began its activities by running various coaching/typing classes, book distribution and counseling of students. Later it was instrumental in getting the SSC center for Anjar town and also arranged for the boarding and lodging of the out station SSC candidates.

          In the year 1990 it established the first English medium school at Anjar. This fulfilled a long-standing public desire and today the same English School (Smt. K. G. Manek English School) has carved out a place of its own. The society went on expanding its activities and later founded a Gujarati medium primary school (Anjar Vidyalaya, founded in 1996), an English Medium High School (Shree Uttam Secondary English School,founded in 1998), Gujarati Medium High School (Th. N.P.N. High School, founded in 2000), English medium Higher Secondary School (Southampton Vedic Society Higher Secondary English School, founded in 2004), Gujarati medium Higher Secondary School (Anjar Uchhaytar Madhyamik Vidyalaya, founded in 2005) and a new Arts & Commerce Collete (Smt. H. B. Palan College of Arts & Commerce, founded in 2006). At present 2200 students study in our educational campus and we have total staff of 140.

          In the earthquake of 2001, the society lost all its infrastructural facilities. The event failed to demotivate the members of the society. It first began to run the schools in tents and later was offered rooms (pre-fabricated) by Bharatiya Jain Sangathana Pune. The school was also one of the first schools of Kachchh to begin classes on the first day of the academic year 2001-2002.

          Today, the society has a 13 acres plot at survey No.156, Meghpar Kumbhardi, Anjar & has set up two Educational campuses there. Now all our schools are running in this new campus. The Campus has proved to be a boon for the people of the town since the campus provides formal Education from K.G. to College.

          It was a long standing demand of the parents of the students (attending the schools run by  Anjar Education Society) that the society should provide college Education as well.

          A college run by the society means that any child admitted in the Nursery run by Anjar Education Society will have the assurance of being able to complete his/her graduation without leaving the campus.

          The month of June’ 2006 came with a boon to the people of Anjar & its surrounding areas as our society got the necessary permission from the state government and Kachchh University to open a new college for Arts & Commerce namely Smt. H. B. Palan College for Arts & Commerce in our Educational campus.

          Today, the society offers B.A./B.Com., P.G.D.H.R.M. (K.S.K.V.Kachchh University), B.B.A., A.G.D.H.R.M.(B.A.O.U.) and runs a C-DAC Centre as well.

          In the very near future we hope that the schools & college campus of the society becomes a pilgrim spot for both Educators & Students.
