Welcome to Anjar Education Society
Anjar Education Society is a registered public trust established in theÂ year 1972, the sole purpose being the education development of the area. It was instrumental in getting the first SSC centre for English Medium in Anjar town.
In the year 1990 it established the first English medium School (SMT. K. G. Manek English School), it has carved out a place of its own. The society went on expanding its activities and later established a Gujarati Medium Primary School (Anjar Vidyalaya Founded in 1996), and English Medium High school (Shree Uttam Secondary English School, founded in 1998), Gujarati Medium School (The N. P. N. High School, started in 2000), English Medium Higher Secondary School (Southampton Vedic Society Higher Secondary English School, founded in 2004), Gujarati Medium Higher Secondary (Anjar Uchhatar Madhyamik Vidyalaya, founded in 2005). Arts and Commerce College (Smt H. B. Palan College of Commerce started in 2006). At Present 2600 Students are studying in its educational campus with 186 staff members.
In the earth quake of 2001, the society lost all its infrastructural facilities. The event failed to de-motivate the members of the society. It first began to run the schools in tents and later was offered rooms (pre-fabricated) by Bharatiya Jain Sanghathana Pune. The school was also one of the first schools of Kachchh to begin classes on the first day of the academicyear2001-2002.
Today, the society has a 12 acres land at Survey No. 156, Meghpar (Kumbhardi), Anjar & has set up an educational hub with facilities from KG to PG (From Kindergarten to Post Graduate College).
The Society exists for the sole purpose of furthering the cause of education and develops infrastructure. The Societyâs only aim has been to provide good quality affordable education. It has been successful to a great extent but still has a long way to go.
