Health Awareness Programme for Adolescent Girls for their Menstrual Hygiene and other Biological Changes

Menstruation and menstrual practices still face many social, cultural and religious restrictions which are
big barriers to menstrual hygiene management. In schools, due to lack of sanitary facilities, girls throw
away their sanitary pads in the toilets. While in some other cases, they throw away their used menstrual
clothes without washing them and some others are found to remain absent from school due to lack of
disposal system. In this direction, we are glad to inform you that we have recently installed an incinerator
( a machine that is used to dispose of waste) for hygienic disposal of sanitary pads.

This is one of its kind facility by Anjar Education Society and a significant step towards providing the girls of our schools and college with hygienic toilets. It is our great pleasure and privilege to invite Dr.Shilpa Toshniwal and Dr.Dhvani Dharmani as a Guest Speaker on our campus and address the girls of class 8 to 12 from the schools and FY to TY from the college section .
